OBITUARY Funeral services for Theodore Earl Degerstrom, Jr., age 69, of Wadley, will be held 3:00 pm, Monday, April 30, 2012, from Sweet Home Methodist Church with Rev. Baxter Chism officiating. Mr. Degerstrom will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, April 29, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Wayne Adams, Wayne Eastridge, Greg Fulgham, John Howard, Heston Yates and Mike Potts. Mr. Degerstrom died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Regional Medical Center. Mr. Degerstrom is survived by his wife, Hattie Marie Adams Degerstrom of Wadley; his mother, Blanche Parkman Degerstrom of New Castle, Maine; four daughters, Molly Ann Laurendine of Mobile, Mandy Jackson of Madeira, LA, Alison Gail Howard of Dadeville, Lisa Lee Degerstrom of Biloxi, MS; two sons, Theodore Degerstrom, III of Wadley, Jonathon Dale Degerstrom of Wadley; three sisters, Carol Haskett of Palmarro, Maine, Janice Clukey of Maine, Debbie Brewer of New Castle, Main; three brothers, Ed Degerstrom of Virginia, Don Degerstrom of Houston, TX, Jim Degerstrom of Kissimmee, FL; twenty-two grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Mr. Degerstrom was born May 31, 1942, the son of Theodore Earl Degerstrom, SR. and Blanche Parkman Degerstrom. He was a member of Sweet Home Methodist Church, a member of the Randolph Radio Club, had worked as a Computer Tech for Tandy, and served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Degerstrom was preceded in death by his father; one son, Steven Michael Degerstrom; one brother, Eric Leroy Degerstrom. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
