Graveside services for Evelyn “Joan” Burdett, age 89, of Roanoke, AL, will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM CST at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Roanoke with Rev. Rickey Cannon officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall after the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Mrs. Burdett passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in her home.

Survivors include: husband, Willian “Oscar” Burdett; sons, Charles Randall (Donna) Burdett of Stafford VA, Kevin Lynn (Scott Miller) Burdett of Pasadena CA; two grandchildren, Jason Randall (Emily Harder) Burdett of Ashburn VA, Tyler Preston (Bekah Wardlow) Burdett of Fredericksburg VA; predeceased by her parents; son, Ricky Oscar Burdett; brothers Edward Lamberth, Glenn Lamberth; and sister, June Griffin.

Mrs. Burdett was born in Clay County, AL, on February 18, 1933. She is the daughter of Charlie and Mrytis Lamberth. Mrs. Burdett was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Roanoke and was a devoted mother and homemaker for 71 plus years.
