Obituary of David Frank Denton
Graveside services for David Frank Denton, age 71, of Roanoke, Ala., will be Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Randolph Memory Gardens with Pastor Dan Waller officiating.
Mr. Denton passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Denton; daughters, Elizabeth (Kyle) Hale of Denver, Colo., and Tracy Huddleston of Wadley, Ala.; son, Josh Huddleston of Roanoke, Ala.; grandchildren, Abigail, Kolby (Makayla) Smith, and Korey (Trenton) Pijnenburg; sister, Carole (Kelly) Linch of LaGrange, Ga.; and nephews, Scott (Amanda) Linch, and Alan (Erin) Linch.
Pallbearers will be Josh Huddleston, Kolby Smith, David Daniel, Jerry Cotney, Rod Hines and Greg Mitchell.
Mr. Denton was born in LaFayette, Ala., on July 19, 1951. He is the son of Frank Edward and Census Meigs Denton. Mr. Denton owned and operated Denton & Associates P.C. in Roanoke for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Richard Linch.
Mr. Denton was a graduate of Auburn University. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Rotary Club. Mr. Denton was also actively involved in developing Kids Town and renovating Old Martin Theater in downtown Roanoke through the Rotary Club.
