OBITUARY
Funeral services for Annie Kate Barnes, age 82, of Roanoke will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Barnes and Rev. Steve Barnes officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
Mrs. Barnes died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.
Survivors include one son, Patrick Dennis Barnes of Opelika; one sister, Sarah Bledsoe of Montgomery; one brother, Grady Noles of Corpus Christi, Texas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A native of Auburn, Mrs. Barnes was born August 3, 1929, daughter of John M. and Nomie B. Butler Noles. She had worked as a dorm mother at Auburn University. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bentley Olin Barnes; and a son, Michael Kerry Barnes.
