Graveside services for Dr. Rebecca Ann Boyd Madden, of Rome, GA will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM CST at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke, Aabama, with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Madden passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022.

Survivors include her sons, Robert (Jenna) Madden, JR. of Cartersville, GA. and William Madden of Austin, TX.; grandchildren, Melody Madden, Nathan Madden, and George Madden; the father of her children, Dr. Robert Madden of Rome, GA.; sisters, Linda (Tod) Boyd Bottcher of Auburn, Ala. And Ginger (Joe) Boyd Shelnutt of Granbury, TX.; brother, Glen (Ann) Boyd, Jr. of Roanoke, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Madden was born in Chambers County, Alabama on May 28, 1952. She is the daughter of Henry Glen Boyd, Sr. and Rachel Rebecca Grubbs Boyd. Dr. Madden was Baptist by faith and spent her years as a doctor of internal medicine in Rome, Ga. for over 35 years. Rebecca was a master gardener, and an accomplished musician. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors in Biology prior to entering the medical college of Georgia in Augusta. In her retirement years she turned to her love of gardening, but her greatest love was for her three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
