OBITUARY
Funeral services for James Willard Spurling, age 62, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, May 11, 2012, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with Rev. S. T. Janney officiating. Burial to follow in Forresters Chapel Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 10th, at the funeral home.

Mr. Spurling died Thursday, May 9, 2012 at Wedowee Hospital.
Mr. Spurling is survived by his wife, Melissa Taylor Spurling of Roanoke; one daughter, Debra Ann Spurling of Anniston; two grandchildren, Cody and Kala Spurling of Anniston; two sisters, Martha Holmes and Mary Spurling both of Talladega; seven brothers, Tony, Wayne, Charlie, Leslie, Danny, Dewayne all of Talladega, Benny Spurling of Anniston.
Mr. Spurling was born March 3, 1950, the son Grover C. and Mary Frances Thomas Spurling. He was the owner of Spurling Tree Service and a tree trimmer. Mr. Spurling was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Grady and Paul Spurling.
