Obituary of Ginger Allison Smith

Funeral services for Ginger Allison Smith, age 57, of Vincent, Alabama, will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Midway Full Gospel Church with Bro. Keith Benefield officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023.  Mrs. Smith will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Friday.

Mrs. Smith passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, in Roanoke, Alabama.

Survivors include her husband, Scott Smith of Vincent; four daughters, Emily Clark (Larry, Jr.) of Roanoke, Courtney Smith of Vincent, Jessica Smith of Kentucky, and Kristin Smith of Mountain Brook; two sons, Chris Dunlap (Randyl) of Roanoke and Kyle Dunlap of Huntsville; her mother, Betty Jack Nelson Harper of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren; and two brothers, David Harper and Tim Harper, both of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Cobb, Bo Veal, J. B. Veal, Anthony Bowen, Billy Pike, and Pebo Hand.

A former Roanoke resident, Mrs. Smith was born on June 9, 1965, the daughter of Walter and Betty Jack Nelson Harper.  She was a member of Midway Full Gospel Church and worked as a seamstress for IPAK.  Mrs. Smith enjoyed photography and spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her father and grandmother, Betty Lou Nelson.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to go towards final expenses.
