Obituary of William Franklin Hendon, III

William Franklin Hendon, III, age 65 of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2023.

Survivors include his wife, Coralou Burk Hendon of Roanoke; one daughter, Melanie Swick of Roanoke; two sons, Justin Hendon and Jared Hendon, both of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Miley, Gavin, and Jasper; one sister, Pam Hendon of Roanoke; and two brothers, Johnny Hendon and Jimmy Hendon, both of Roanoke.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Hendon was born on March 18, 1958, the son of William Franklin Hendon, II, and Margaret Molly Mitchell Hendon. He was Baptist by faith and worked as a CNC for Federal Mogul.  Mr. Hendon was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kerry Hendon.
