Obituary of Don "Gabo" Knight

Funeral services for Don “Gabo” Knight, age 67, of Wadley will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 12 noon at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cummings and Bro. Eric Lester officiating.  Burial will follow at Corinth Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Mr. Knight passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023, in Roanoke.

Survivors include: one daughter, Lori Sparks (Wesley) of Lineville; two sons, B.J. Knight (Anita) of Roanoke and John Knight (Christeya) of Wadley; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debbie Kirk and Brenda Ray, both of Wadley; and one brother, Nicky Knight of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be Brian Caldwell, Jason Caldwell, Danny Tooker, Gary Rice, Johnny Tennant, and Randy Newman.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Knight was born on May 27, 1956, the son of Billy Lee and Mary Caldwell Knight.  He was a member of Corinth Christian Church and worked as a truck driver for J-Par Trucking and drove a dump truck for Wadley Crushed Stone.  He was a lifelong trucker.  Mr. Knight loved picking and grinning and loved his family and family cookouts.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rose Pierce Knight.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
