Obituary of Mary Harlin

OBITUARY Funeral services for Mary Harlin, age 88, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 8, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dean officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 8th, at the funeral home. Mrs. Harlin died, July 5, 2012, at Traylor's Nursing Home. Mrs. Harlin is survived by one daughter, Carol (husband, Stell) Benefield of Wedowee; two sisters, Judy Harvel of Roanoke and Jane Maynard of Macon, GA; two grandchildren, John Benefield of Mt. Olive and Elizabeth Beasley of Morris; two great-grandchildren . Mrs. Harlin was born April 13, 1924, the daughter of Luther S. and Annie Swann McCarter. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Roanoke and had worked with Alabama Power Company as a contact clerk. Mrs. Harlin was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Harlin; her parents; one sister, Nell Jacobs; two brothers, Melvin McCarter and Jack McCarter.
