Obituary of Dianne Mitchell

Funeral services for Dianne Mitchell, age 70, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Anthony Caldwell and Bro. Stoney Halsey officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Home Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023.

Mrs. Mitchell passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Mitchell of Roanoke; two sons, Michael Mitchell (Monica) of Roanoke and Brian Mitchell (Jessica) of Valley; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Baldwin, Paige Tucker, Mikey Mitchell, Shannon Hodges, Erin Dean, Quinn Vega, Addison Mitchell, Lucy Mitchell, Chris Gray, Luke Gray, and Matt Gray; 9 great-grandchildren, Amelia Baldwin, Natilee Tucker, Scarlett Mitchell, Cade Hodges, Everly Hodges, Annie Gray, Ember Gray, Coty Gray, and Skylar Gray; three sisters, Debbie Calhoun (Kinnie) of Roanoke, Melody Noles of Pell City, and Joy Church (Brian) of Roopville, GA; one brother, Tracy Noles (Sharon) of Roosterville, GA; and a special niece, Kelly Calhoun and other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Philip Calhoun, Quinn Vega, Coty Hodges, Glenn Johnson, Donald Johnson, and Dylan Baldwin.

A longtime Roanoke resident, Mrs. Mitchell was born in Franklin, GA, on May 24, 1953, the daughter of Marvin Noles and Mildred Folsom Coggins.  She was a member of Forest Home Christian Church and worked as a lab tech at Kimberly-Clark before eventually retiring as a purchasing agent at Bremen-Bowdon Investments.  Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Floyd Smith; and one sister, Iva Dale Phillips.
