Funeral services for Mable Aline Halsey, age 88, of Roanoke, will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Halsey and Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating.  Burial will follow at the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the church (Beulah Baptist, 710 County Road 631, Roanoke) from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 25th.

Mrs. Halsey passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Tanner East Alabama in Wedowee.

Survivors include two daughters, Cecilia Mitchell (Roger) of Smiths Station and Vonda Woody (Scott) of Roanoke; two sons, Stoney Halsey (Melissa) of Roanoke and Ed Halsey (Rhonda) of Roanoke; daughter-in-law, Patricia Halsey of Beauregard; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jason Mitchell, Cecil Mitchell, Britt Halsey, Caleb Duffie, Eric Halsey, and Sean Halsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Dauber and Jason Baker.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Halsey was born on November 28, 1934, in Wedowee, the daughter of Enos C. and Vannie Freeman Noles.  She was a homemaker and had worked as a seamstress with various local apparel manufacturing companies.  Mrs. Halsey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Cecil Halsey; son, Shannon Halsey; one brother, Edd Noles; two sisters, Opal Mitchell and Mary Edmondson; and five infant siblings.
