Funeral services for Jesse Meeks, age 33, of Opelika, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the Meeks Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Mr. Meeks passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Opelika.

Survivors include his wife, Katie Andrews Meeks of Opelika; five daughters, Haleigh, Hannah, Helen, Emma, and Abigail; one son, Hunter; his parents, Dennis and Michelle Meeks of Roanoke; one sister, Bethany Meeks of Roanoke; one brother, Dale Meeks (Becca) of Roanoke; one niece, P.J.; and two nephews, Ethan, and Waylon.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Bonner, Patrick Cassar, Josh Grant, Lee Brown, Bret Ballard, and Frank Del Valle.

A longtime Roanoke resident, Mr. Meeks was born in LaGrange, Georgia, on July 15, 1989, the son of Dennis and Michelle Ritchie Meeks.  He was a member of Mission Baptist Church and worked as an electrician for Dixie Electric.  Mr. Meeks loved fishing and woodworking.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Milford & Janice Meeks and Irvin & Pat Ritchie.
