Obituary of Catherine Tarver Dendinger

Funeral services for Catherine Tarver Dendinger, age 90, of Wadley, will be held at 2:30 PM on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Eric Lester and Greg Dendinger officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Dendinger passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include one daughter, Nanette Palmer of Brandon, MS; three sons, Mark Dendinger (Lavina) of Atlanta, John Dendinger (Grier) of Madisonville, LA and Gregory Dendinger (Jennifer) of Wadley; one sister, Betty Lyman of Roanoke; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Dendinger was born December 19, 1932, the daughter of Taft and Mary Lee Buchanan Tarver.  She was Baptist by faith and had retired from the Orleans Parrish School Board.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Urban E. Dendinger, Jr.
