Obituary of Iris Cline Duffie

OBITUARY Funeral services for Iris Cline Duffie, age 82, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bud Stiltner and Rev. Billy Watts officiating. Burial to follow in Levens Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 13, 2012, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Stephen Breed, Caleb Duffie, Tyler Henderson, Bradley Henderson Mrs. Duffie died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at East Alabama Medical Center Mrs. Duffie is survived by two daughters, Kay (husband Ross) Henderson of Morganton, NC, Cathy (husband Mike) Breed of Roanoke; two sons, Mark (wife Tammie) Duffie of Wedowee, David (wife Wendy) Duffie of Roanoke; one sister, Cleola Gunn of Roanoke; seven grandchildren. Mrs. Duffie was born February 28, 1930, the daughter of Henry Matthew and Mary Etta Hallmark Cline. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had worked as an office manager for Roanoke Fashions. Mrs. Duffie was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny William Duffie; her parents; one daughter, Carolyn Duffie; one sister, Idren Butler; one brother, Travis Cline.
