Funeral services for Patsy Love Hodges Durham, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church at 809 Rock Mills Road, Roanoke, AL 36274, with John Saunders and Gerald Romine officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge.

The family will receive friends downstairs at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Mrs. Durham passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia. 

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Robert (Bobby) Durham of Roanoke; daughters, Sandra Kitchens (Oliver) of Destin, FL, and Elaine White (Roger) of Roanoke; 2 grandchildren, McClain Ziegler (Trey) and Holly Baquero (Byron); and 7 great-grandchildren; and sister, Angela Anthony (David) of Mountain Brook, AL. 

Pallbearers will be Danny Adams, David Adams, Ron Barngrover, Bill Caypless, Michael Caypless, and George Robinson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Nunn, Mike Potts, Jim Russell, and Ralph Wilder.

A Knoxville, TN, native, Mrs. Durham was born January 7, 1937, the daughter of Harry Hodges and Gladys McClain. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and stepmother, Mary Bassett Hodges.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Patsy Durham Memorial Fund c/o St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 809 Rock Mills Road, Roanoke, AL 36274, to be dispersed to the family’s favorite charities.
