Obituary of Gaines Laurice Bonner

OBITUARY Funeral services for Laurice Bonner, age 87, of Rock Mills, will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, July 26, 2012, from Rock Mills Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Korb officiating. Mr. Bonner will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 25th, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ted Bennett, Terry Burkes, Thad Owens, Jesse Reynolds, Jimmy Allen, and Hoke Putman. Mr. Bonner died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his home. Mr. Bonner is survived by one son, Ronnie Bonner of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Kristin Chappell of Opelika, Hunter Bonner of Ellaville, GA, Forrest Bonner of Opelika; six great grandchildren. Mr. Bonner was born May 28, 1925, the son of Cecil and Odessa Owens Bonner. He was a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church and had retired fromWehadkee Mills. Mr. Bonner was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jim Lane Bonner; his parents; one great grandson, Michael William Chappell; one brother, Arnold Bonner.
