Graveside memorial services for Teledia Townley, age 74, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Townley passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at her residence.

Survivors include: one son, Keith Townley of Birmingham; niece, Jessica Nichols Gibson (John) of Daphne, AL; nephews, Corey Nichols (Whitney) of Auburn and Eric Nichols of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Leslie Nichols; adopted granddaughter, Rylee Holloway; great-nieces and great-nephews, Riley Williamson, Ryan Sheppard, Michael Gibson, Grayson Gibson, Meredith Gibson, Braxton Nichols, and Parker Nichols; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Caralyna Williamson, Corbin Williamson, and Callie Williamson.

Ms. Townley was born in Dadeville on April 3, 1949, the daughter of Mixon Ivison Nichols, Sr., and Mildred Garrison Nichols.  She was a 1967 graduate of Handley High School and a lifelong Roanoke resident.  Ms. Townley worked in billing and coding for Randolph County Hospital and in home healthcare.  She had a green thumb and loved her plants and gardening.  Ms. Townley also enjoyed going to Awbrey’s Studio on Main where she loved painting, ceramics, and all types of art.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mixon “Nicky” Nichols, Jr.
