Gerald Simon Wyble, age 79, of Roanoke passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Brewer Wyble of Roanoke; three daughters, Mary Courville (Dr. Kevin Courville) of Lafayette, LA, Amanda White (Edward) of Youngsville, LA, and Misty Wyble of Opelika; one son, Corey Wyble (Kadi) of LaGrange, GA; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Emily Souileau (Nelson) of Baton Rouge, LA.

A Louisiana native, Mr. Wyble was born on August 22, 1944, the son of Sanders and Alzier DeVelier Wyble.  He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam conflict and Catholic by faith.  Mr. Wyble worked as an electrical engineer who took early retirement from Bellsouth and then retired from Emerson.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carroll Wyble and Aaron Wyble; and one sister, Maxine Wyble Morgan.

A celebration of life will be held in his home state of Louisiana at a later date.
