Obituary of Rayford Caldwell

Rayford Anthony “Andy” Caldwell was born March 21, 1963, in Newnan, Georgia, to Mildred and Rayford Caldwell.  He lived in many different places over the years, including the beautiful mountains of both Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Bakersfield, California, but home was always wherever his immediate family resided. 

The love he had for his family was immeasurable.  He was stubborn and loud and would not hesitate to tell you how he felt, good or bad, but if he loved you, you knew it undoubtedly.  He had a kind and giving heart and was always willing to help anyone.  As much as he loved his friends and family, he loved his three dogs just as much. 

He passed away at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia, on Thursday, October 26, 2023, comforted by loved ones.  He is preceded in death by his father, Ray Caldwell.  He leaves behind his mother, Mildred Caldwell; his sister, Anita Caldwell; his niece, Kersten Brown; his nephew Dylan “Crickett” Beck; his three great-nieces, Adalyn, Audrey, and Ansley Brown; his three pups, Snoopy, Lucy, and Roy; and a lot of wonderful friends.  He touched numerous hearts in his lifetime and left us all with many wonderful memories.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 PM CST at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel.  Memorials may be floral.
