Funeral services for Patrick Leo George, Sr., age 52, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 14, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Foster, Sr. and Rev. Jimmy Sprayberry officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Rock Methodist Church Cemetery. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, August 13, 2012, at the funeral home.
Mr. George died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at his home.
Pallbearers will be Thad Owens, Jim Pike, Ed Gabriel, Stephen Fields, Robbie Wenck, and Billy Wenck.
Mr. George is survived by his wife, Jennifer Owens George of Roanoke; one daughter, Jessica George of Roanoke; one son, Patrick (wife, Michelle) George, Jr. of Roanoke; two sisters, Lisa Ferguson and April Anthony, both of Roanoke; two brothers, John George of Johnson City, TN, and Brian George of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Mr. George was born November 3, 1959, the son of John C. and Jane Knott George. He had been employed as a millwright with Georgia Power.
