Obituary of R. C. Bolt
Funeral services for R. C. Bolt, age 91, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday before services begin.
Mr. Bolt passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Traylor’s Retirement Center in Roanoke.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Bolt of Roanoke; three daughters, Diane Bolt Noles of Roanoke, Kathleen Pinder Riker and Margie Pinder Case, both of West Palm Beach, FL; two sons, Douglas Bolt of Pueblo, CO, and Larry Craig Pinder of Port Charlotte, FL; special nephew, Jerry L. Bolt of Roanoke; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Bolt’s grandsons.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Bolt was born on October 20, 1932, the son of Lee and Nina Wilder Bolt. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, and attended Faith Baptist Church in Roanoke after moving back to the area. Mr. Bolt lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, for 40 years before returning to Roanoke in 2008. He worked in maintenance for Palm Beach Golf Course in Palm Beach, FL, and at the Suntrust Bank in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Harrell Bolt; son, Don Bolt; and siblings, Mavis Bolt Pike, Clois Bolt Towler, Lloyd Bolt, and Charlie William Bolt.
