Obituary of Ann Stitt Hester

Graveside services for Ann Stitt Hester, age 92, of LaGrange, GA, will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Randolph memory Gardens with Rev. Curtis Richardson officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hester passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at LaGrange Heritage Senior Living in LaGrange, Georgia.

Survivors include her husband, John Morgan Hester of LaGrange, GA; one daughter, Patricia McBride (John) of Shelby, NC; two sons, Thomas Edward Hester (Carol) of Frisco, TX, and Gary Hester of Acworth, GA; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Hester was born on May 18, 1931, the daughter of Mabrey and Bertha Green Stitt.  She was a member of East Vernon Baptist Church and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John M. Hester, Jr.; two sisters, Jimmie Lee Harwell and Dr. Kathlene Stitt; and one brother, Gerald Stitt, Sr.
