OBITUARY
Funeral services for Minnie Lee Tarver, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held, 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 30, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jamie Taylor officiating. Burial to follow in Rock Springs Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tarver died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Traylor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Tarver is survived by two sons, William Fred "Billy" and wife Diann Tarver of Alexander City, David Harper of Clearwater, FL; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Mrs. Tarver was born October 4, 1925, the daughter of Dave and Elsie Pool Benefield. She was of the Christian faith and had worked for Duracell. Mrs. Tarver was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Harper Tarver; her parents; four sisters, Bertha Mae Green, Myrtice Phillips, Mary Jim Woody and an infant; two brothers, Chief and Bill Benefield.
