OBITUARY
Funeral services for Lola Wynona Knight Truitt, age 85, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, September 6, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 5th, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Truitt died Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Wedowee Hospital.
Mrs. Truitt is survived by one daughter, Laura Truitt Owens of Carrollton, GA; one son, Donald E. (wife Patricia) Truitt of Roanoke; two sisters, Mildred Bassett and Jean Whaley; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Truitt was born February 5, 1927, the daughter of Truett and Myrtle Pike Knight. She was a member of the Rock Mills Methodist Church and had worked for Wehadkee Mills. Mrs. Truitt as preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wadsworth Wendell and Bobby Rayford Knight; one sister, Doris Knight.
