Joe “Joey” Henry Fincher, Jr., age 56, of Roanoke passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at his residence.  Survivors include: two sisters, Kathy Pike (Danny) of Roanoke and Paula “Ditha” Rowe (Victor)of Wadley; brother, Randy Cummings (Luauna) of Ephesus, Georgia; many nieces and nephews including Jonathan and Miranda Fincher, Stacey and Angel Brown, Jamey and Michele Head, Matthew and Jacqualine Cummings, Shannon Fincher, Miranda and Brian Morris, Kelly and Michael Corno; and Milinda Fincher. 


A Roanoke native, Mr. Fincher was born on June 17, 1967, the son of Joe Henry and Louise Banks Fincher.  He was a United States Marine Corps veteran and was Christian by faith.  Mr. Fincher loved his family and friends and especially loved his pets.  He took care of the neighborhood pets as they often came to his house because they knew they would be cared for.  A loving man, Mr. Fincher was known to have a big heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.  Mr. Fincher was preceded in death by his parents.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Randolph County Animal Shelter at 104 Animal Shelter Road, Wedowee, AL  36278.
