Obituary of Leita Carlton Jones

OBITUARY Funeral services for Leita Carlton Jones, age 82, of Wadley, will be held, Sunday, September 23, 2012, at 1:00 pm from Wadley Methodist Church with Rev. Marty Schwartz officiating. Mrs. Jones will lie in state for one hour prior to services. Burial to follow in Wadley Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 22nd, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Don Jones, Alex White, Stan Jones, Taylor Jones, and Tim Davis. Mrs. Jones died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at North Ridge Hospital. Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Nancy Jones (husband, Randy) Vick of Bogart, GA, and Lynn Jones White of Belmont, NC; one son, Robert Stanford (wife, Marie) Jones of Snellville, GA; six grandchildren, Taylor Jones, Sarah Davis, Kara Boyer, Kelli Lamm, Alex White, and Bailey White; and two great-grandchildren, Drew Lamm and Katherine Boyer and one on the way. Mrs. Jones was born September 18, 1930, the daughter of Herbert and Lottie Dell Noel Carlton. She was a member of Wadley Methodist Church and had worked as a secretary for American Motors. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Taylor Jones; her parents; and one sister, Frances Morton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Wadley Methodist Church.
