Obituary of Margaret Stewart Ramos
Graveside services for Margaret Stewart Ramos, age 87, of Wadley, will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Mountain Springs Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Tim Whaley will officiate with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 14, at the funeral home.
Ms. Ramos passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at LaFayette Extended Care, surrounded by family.
Survivors include her sons, Joe (Susan) Kelly of Wadley and Guy (Mary) Kelly of Wedowee; five grandchildren, Shannon Kelly (Jim) Banks, Ryan (Angeline) Kelly, Kaylan Kinman (Chris) Johnson, Julianna Kelly, and Jasilynn Kelly (Dre) Watkins; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Banks (Bill) Miamen, Tori Banks, Sara Grace Banks, Mia Butler, Dylan Butler, and Stone Bryant; two great-great-grandchildren, Atlas Miamen and Asa Miamen; and two sisters, Frances Taylor and Hazel Singletary, both of Tifton, GA.
Pallbearers will be Dre Watkins, Ashton Lane, Bill Miamen, Aubrey Bryant, Chris Johnson, and Jeremiah Thomas.
A Tallapoosa County native, Ms. Ramos was born on February 20, 1937, the daughter of Adolphus and Macie Brown Stewart. She was a member of Mountain Springs Baptist Church and was employed at Clegg-Pennrose MFG. and later worked in the food industry. Ms. Ramos was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; Guy Windol Kelly, L C Elliott, and Francis “Amigo” Ramos and six brothers and sisters.
