OBITUARY
Funeral services for Janice Elaine Clack Barnes, age 77, of Smiths Station, will be held 2:00 pm, CST, Wednesday, October 3, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Paul Clements, Bro. Frank Barnes, JR. and Bro. Steven Barnes officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, CST, on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Satterwhite, Kenneth Coleman, Phillip McCarley, Charles Clack, Danny Cooper and Patrick Barnes.
Mrs. Barnes died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by two daughters, Elaine Barnes Cooper of Opelika, Sheryl Barnes Coleman of Pittsview; two sons, Frank E. Barnes, JR. of Pine Mountain, Steven Patrick Barnes of Phenix City; one sister, Sarah Jean Satterwhite of Roanoke; one brother, Charles Manley Clack of Roanoke; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Barnes was born February 9, 1935, the daughter of William Brian and Eura Wilson Clack. Mrs. Barnes was of the Church of Christ faith and had been a compositor for the Opelika - Auburn Daily News. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Frank Edward "Bud" Barnes, SR; parents; one brother, Thomas Bryan Clack.
