Obituary

Funeral services for Charles Eugene “Charlie B.” Bledsoe, age 54, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Lanes Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. Keith Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-8:00 PM on Monday, August 26. Charlie B. will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Tuesday.

Charlie B. passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at his residence.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Vinson, CJ Miller, Christopher Reaves, Michael Hancock, Scott Brown, and Brian Carson. Mike Gosdin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Survivors include: his wife, Jessica Covington Bledsoe; three daughters, Pauline Elisa Bledsoe of Roanoke, Kimberly Ann Bledsoe of Attalla and Angel Dawn Bledsoe of Anniston; a step-son, CJ Miller of Anniston; his mother, Sally Whaley Hogan of Roanoke; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; three sisters, Paula Hancock (Michael) of Section, Leanne Flowers (David) of Blairsville, GA, and Jennifer Bledsoe of Valley; and two brothers, Daniel Bledsoe of Valley and Christopher Reaves (Maranda)  of Tin Shop.

A Lifelong Randolph County native, Charlie B. was born on September 16, 1969, the son of William Marion and Sally Whaley Bledsoe. He was Christian by faith and had attended Lanes Chapel Methodist Church. Charlie B. had been self-employed as a carpenter. He loved to hunt and fish in his free time. Charlie B. was preceded in death by his father and a son, William Charles Bledsoe.
