Obituary of Rueben Bailey
Funeral services for Rueben Bailey, age 72, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-4:00 PM on Thursday before services begin.
Mr. Bailey passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at his home.
Survivors include: one daughter, Lindsey Bailey of Roanoke; a step-son, Joey Lain of New Site; one grandson, Brody Bailey; and special friend, Genice Wilson.
A Roanoke native, Mr. Bailey was born on July 29, 1952, the son of Robert Samuel and Rilma Janey Haynes Bailey. He was a United States Army veteran and worked in maintenance for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers for 30 years and at Kia for 13 years. Mr. Bailey loved Nascar racing and Alabama Crimson Tide football, and he loved watching his grandson play for Handley High School’s football team. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Samuel Bailey, Jr.
