OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Stephen Wayne Carson, age 62, of Wadley, will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 17, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial to follow in Forresters Chapel Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Kendrick, Clay Carson, Marvin Barton, Scott Nixon, Jeremy Hobbs and Clinton Branch.
Mr. Carson died October 15, 2012, at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Carson is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Kendrick and husband Matthew of Opelika; one sister, Gwin Barton of Perry, GA; one brother, Mike Carson of Alex City; two grandchildren, Ellie and Carson Kendrick.
Mr. Carson was born November 6, 1949, the son of James E. and Ethel Gray Carson. He attended Hope Memorial Christian Church, had worked for Uniroyal, and had served in the United States Army Reserve. Mr. Carson was preceded in death by his parents.
