Obituary of Tony Moore
Funeral services for Tony Moore, age 62, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mike Brewer, Bro. Cleve Moore, and Bro. Lew Moore officiating. Burial will at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Mr. Moore passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Moore of Roanoke; one daughter, Mandy Lambert (Stephen) of Roanoke; one son, Lew Moore (Laura) of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Aiden Craft and Henry Moore; one sister, Robin Moore of New York; three brothers, Randy Moore (Susan) and Cleve Moore (Wanda), both of Roanoke, and Jimmy Heath (Reba) of Phenix City; and a brother-in-law, Chris Weathers of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Lew Moore, Timmy Smith, Adam Yarbrough, Mark Brown, Sonny Lambert, and Anel Covarrubias. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Moore and Aiden Craft.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Moore was born on April 23, 1962, the son of Lewis Henry and Bobbie Jean Moore. He attended Union Hill Baptist Church, worked as an operator for ANCI, and owned and operated Head Monument in Roanoke. Mr. Moore was a member of the Rock Mills Volunteer Fire Department for 48 years where he spent 20 plus of those years as Chief. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Roanoke Masonic Lodge and was a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite. Mr. Moore was an avid fisherman and an Atlanta Braves and Alabama football fan. But more than anything, he loved his two grandsons and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
