Funeral services for Martha Jane Williams, age 69, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home on Thursday, October 10th, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Williams passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown, Columbus, Georgia.

Survivors include one daughter, Leigh Harris (Edward Dwayne Harris) of Roanoke; one son, Danny Wayne Williams of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Christopher Ray Marshall, Miranda Nicole Loveless, Jessica Nicole Williams, Tyler McKinney Williams; five great-grandchildren, Rayden Isiah Marshall, Harleigh Kristine Loveless, Axis Titan Marshall, Adessa Jane Marshall and Peyton Aleah Loveless; one sister, Pat Smith of Penton; three brothers, Richard Gilliland of Opelika, Shanze Gilliland and Randy Gilliland, both of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Jason Smith, Jonathan Gilliland, Matt Mitchell, Chris Harris, Ben Blackstone, Trent Wilson, and Taylor Mitchell.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Williams was born June 7, 1955, the daughter of James Marvin and Helen Christine Burgess Gilliland.  She was a homemaker and a member of Lowell Methodist Church. Mrs. Williams loved to read and work crossword puzzles.  She loved her grandkids and enjoyed caring for them.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sammy Ray Williams; brother, Mike Gilliland.
