Funeral services for Cynthia Rebecca Breed Eichelberger, age 84, of Columbus, GA, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Corky Frost officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Sunday before services begin.

Mrs. Eichelberger passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at her home.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Charles Ferrell Eichelberger, Sr., of Columbus, GA; two daughters, Chrystal Eichelberger Cornn of Jasper, GA, and Lynn Eichelberger Bayne (Mike) of Shelbyville, TN; one son, Chuck Eichelberger (Amy) of Smiths Station; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Murphey, Becky Hollifield, Bryan Duffey (Briahna), James Hillhouse, Alex Marsh, Bailey Shouse (Derek), Grayson Eichelberger, and Mary Burton Eichelberger; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of loving cousins.

Pallbearers will be James Hillhouse, Alex Marsh, Grayson Eichelberger, Mike Breed, Mike Bayne, Derek Shouse, and Bryan Duffey.

A Roanoke native, Mrs. Eichelberger was born on March 27, 1940, the daughter of Robert Wilburn and Tommie Lou Brown Breed.  She was Christian by faith and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Mrs. Eichelberger was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild, Chad Hillhouse.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Columbus Hospice for their loving care for our loved one.
