Obituary of Linda J. McCarley
Linda J. McCarley, age 75, of Five Points, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at her residence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Michele Saxton and Tina Nix both of Five Points; grandchildren, Cody McCarley and Wil Towler (Lexi); two brothers, Steve Rollins (Judy) and Eugene Rollins; one great-grandchild on the way and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McCarley was born in Chambers County on January 11, 1949, the daughter of Sara Clyde Watson Prestridge. She was Christian by faith and worked as a weaver for West Point Pepperell and later, West Point Stevens. Mrs. McCarley loved being outdoors with her husband. She most enjoyed fishing, hunting, and field dressing deer. Mrs. McCarley was preceded in death by her mother and her husband, Chris McCarley.
