Funeral services for Billy Faye Norred Gay, age 91, of Wadley will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Paul Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Wadley City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday before services begin.

Mrs. Gay passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her home in Wadley.

Survivors include her brother, Truman Norred of Jacksonville, AL and her sister, Betty Jo Richardson of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Keith Norred, Michael Harris, Elliott Cotney, Richard Cotney, Trey Harris, and Jon Zimmerman.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Gay was born on November 17, 1933, the daughter of Robert and Essie Willingham Norred. She was a member of the Wadley First Baptist Church. Mrs. Gay retired from Roanoke Furniture Company where she worked as the office manager for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elliott Gay; one brother, Tommy Norred; and four sisters, Nettie Harris, Willie Pearl Cagle, Margie Bishop, and Patricia Stringfellow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Wadley City Cemetery Fund c/o Quattlebaum Funeral Home at 319 College Street, Roanoke, AL 36274.
