Graveside services for Sarah Elizabeth “Libby” Glass Whaley, 74, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Scott Whaley and Bro. Lane Elliott officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-1:45 on Friday before services begin.

Mrs. Whaley passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Lafayette Nursing Home.

Survivors include: one granddaughter, Alissa Elliott (Lane) of Lineville; one grandson, Drew Smith of Hogansville, GA; three great-grandchildren, Tate Elliott, Chet Elliott, and Avery Elliott; two sisters, Leisel Caldwell (Lavoy) and Laura Lumpkin (Wade) and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Whaley’s nephews.

A Roanoke resident, Mrs. Whaley was born on July 31, 1950, the daughter of Bill and Ann Awbrey Glass.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Whaley; daughter, Chastity Smith; son, Robbie Whaley; and a sister, Lynda Ann May.
