Obituary of Harry Truman Harmon

OBITUARY Funeral services for Harry Truman Harmon, age 67, of Roanoke, will be held Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sonny Kent and Rev. Cleve Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday. Mr. Harmon died Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Janie Sue Rhodes Harmon of Roanoke; three sons, Tim Harmon (Melody), Terry Harmon (Renee) and Kenneth Harmon (Lucy), all of Rock Mills; two sisters, Eva Mae Waldrep of Roanoke and Sara Cofield of Ranburne; one brother, Carlton Harmon of Ranburne; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alvin McKee, Scott Harmon, Allen Harmon, Patrick Waldrep, Roger Harmon and Calvin McKee. A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Harmon was born April 23, 1945, son of Gordon and Elsie White Harmon. He was a self-employed mechanic.
