OBITUARY
Funeral services for Geraldine Edwards Kadak, age 70, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kadak died Thursday, November 15, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Kadak is survived by her husband, George Leonard Kadak of Roanoke; two daughters, Jodi (husband, John) Beckett of New Milford, CT, and Katherine Kadak (Chris Banta) of New Fairfield, CT; one son, Scott (wife, Ann Marie) Kadak of Forrest, VA; two brothers, Larry Edwards of Belen, NM, and Al Batts of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren.
Mrs. Kadak was born August 13, 1942, the daughter of Frank and Ernestine Lewis Edwards. She had been employed as an executive assistant for the Ethan Allen Corporate Headquarters. Mrs. Kadak was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lane Edwards and Phil Edwards.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF, 26 Broadway, New York, NY 10004) or American Diabetes Association (American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311).
