Funeral services for Y.C. Parmer, age 82, of Bacon Level, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 25, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. S.T. Janney officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at the funeral home.
Mr. Parmer died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Hospice Lagrange.
Pallbearers will be Randy Cummings, Chris Stallings, Kim Bassett, Wayne Parmer, Terrell Parmer, and David Taft.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice Lagrange or a charity of one's choice.
Mr. Parmer is survived by his wife, Janell Young Parmer; one daughter, Debbie Parmer Dickinson (husband, Ronald) of Acworth, GA; one granddaughter, Courtney Dickinson; one sister, Mary Noles of Smyrna, GA.
Mr. Parmer was born September 5, 1930, the son of William Monroe and Sally Jane Gore Parmer. Mr. Parmer had been employed as a supervisor at Handley Mills and West Point Pepperell. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and seven brothers.
