OBITUARY
Graveside services for Vernon Lewis Green, age 85, of Wadley, were held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2012, from Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with Ralph Gooden officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Green died Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Traylor Nursing Home.
Mr. Green is survived by two daughters, Dianne Gooden of Wadley and Marsha Norred of Roanoke; one son, Terry Green of Auburn; two brothers, Travis Green of Bowdon and Thomas Green of Woodland; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Green was born March 18, 1927, the son of Emmett and Lucy Green Noles. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and had been employed by Hall's Florist in Opelika. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Tommy Green; two brothers, Hulen Green and Hayden Green.
