OBITUARY Funeral services for Roland Quentin Hester, age 86, of Villa Rica, formerly of Roanoke, will be held 1:00 pm CST, Tuesday, December 18, 2012, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Tanner officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm CST on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tim Bennett, Phil Griffin, Arnold Rollins, Norman Stewart, John Rakestraw and Danny Phillips. Mr. Hester died Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home. Mr. Hester is survived by his wife, Macie Brand Hester of Villa Rica, GA; two daughters, Wanda Privett and husband David of Jonesboro, GA, Vickie Kuhn and husband Glenn of Villa Rica, GA; five sisters, Clara Rollins of Woodland, Vivian Burdette of LaGrange, GA, Laura Stewart of Woodland, Eunice Stewart of Woodland and Fay Bennett of Wadley. Mr. Hester was born August 21, 1926, the son of Benjamin A. and Lula Duke Hester. He was of the Baptist faith and had worked in the textile industry. Mr. Hester was a member of Masonic Lodge 72 in Villa Rica and served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Hester was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark P. Hester; three brothers, Herman Hester, Alfred Hester and Emmett Hester. Flowers will be accepted or donations to ones favorite charity. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
