Obituary of Florine Thompson Waldrep

OBITUARY Funeral services for Florine Thompson Waldrep, age 87, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Clifford DeLee officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday. Mrs. Waldrep died Saturday, December 29, 2012, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika. Survivors include two sons, Larry Waldrep and Gary Waldrep, both of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Pat Waldrep, Dustin Waldrep, Brian Goss and Michael Goss. A long-time Randolph County resident, Mrs. Waldrep was born November 8, 1925, at Clay County. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had worked with Handley Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Waldrep; three sons, Michael Waldrep, Kenneth Waldrep and Wayne Waldrep; one granddaughter, Barbara Lewis.
