Obituary of Annie Maude Calhoun

Funeral services for Annie Maude Calhoun, age 91, of Roanoke, will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 11 am from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Watts and Rev. Johnny Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday, January 14th. Mrs. Calhoun died Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Crozier (husband, Larry) of Five Points and one grandchild, Brian Brown of Birmingham. Pallbearers will be Tracy Eason, Nick Norred, Benji Johnson, Harvey Townley, Pete Mitchell, and Mike Breed. A resident of Roanoke most of her life, Mrs. Calhoun was born December 2, 1921, the daughter of James Wyatt and Annie Virginia Chathan Ward. She was a member of North Main Congregational Christian Church and had been employed as an inspector with Playtex. Mrs. Calhoun was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Calhoun; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
