OBITUARY Funeral services for Louis Lendon (Sam) Stinnett, age 49, of Roanoke, formerly of Marietta, Georgia, will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 3:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ben Milan and Rev. Mike Vowell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30th. Mr. Stinnett died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at his home. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Vowell Stinnett of Roanoke; daughter, Julie Stinnett of Atlanta; son, Joey Stinnett of Atlanta; mother, Julia McDonald Stinnett of Marietta; two sisters, Jeny Stinnett of Griffin, Georgia and Regina Stamps of Marietta, Georgia; brother, Sonny Stinnett of Toccoa, Georgia; step-daughter, Lisa Mapp (David) of Roanoke; step-son, Tim Broach of Roanoke; five grandchildren; seven nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jimbo Robinson, Mike Dollar, Mike Cruce, Carlos Tomambing, Chris Vowell, Steven Vowell, Rodney Manley, Justin Manley and Ray Mulkey. Honorary pallbearers will be George Gross, Todd Parrish, Justin Willis, Tristan Mapp, Gerald Broach, Keith Nelson, Joe Weathers, John Mangram, Adam Mangram, and nephews. A Marietta, Georgia native, Mr. Stinnett was born March 3, 1963, son of Armiene Gentry Stinnett, Jr. and Julia McDonald Stinnett. He had been employed with Durand Wayland.
