OBITUARY Funeral services for Rev. Gerald Sheppard, age 72, of Rock Mills, will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 2, 2013, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Sheppard, Rev. Tommy Burke and Rev. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cody Towler, Ben Towler, Chris Towler, Darren Mitchell, Chuckie Barrett and Scotty Sheppard. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Smith, Mike Brewer, Junior Towler, Jamie Towler, Wallace Burson, Jimmy Hamil and Mike Webb. Rev. Sheppard died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his home. Rev. Sheppard is survived by his wife, Mary Towler Sheppard of Rock Mills; two daughters, Anita Knight and husband B. J. of Roanoke, Roxanne Sheppard and Dean Bickers of Rock Mills; two sisters, Nell Barrett of Franklin, GA, Dinah Bailey of Lafayette; two brothers, Ted Sheppard of Glenn, Jack Sheppard of Auburn; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Rev. Sheppard was born October 8, 1940, the son of James and Euthia Thompson Sheppard. He was the pastor of Neighborhood House of Prayer, had been a machine operator for Wehadkee Yarns, and supervisor for Snyder Industries. Rev. Sheppard was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Jimmy, Roger and Tommy Sheppard; one sister, Joyce Butler. Condolences may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
