OBITUARY Funeral services for Mary Nell Wilson Mann, age 91, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 15, 2013, from the First Baptist Church of Roanoke with Rev. Ben Bailee, and Rev. A. L. Courtney officiating. Special violinist will be one of her grandsons, Seth Mann. Mrs. Mann will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Rob Mann, Hunter Mann, Paul Higgins, and James Mann. Other pallbearers will be J. P. Chesser, Josh Zapata. Mrs. Mann died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Barton House Assisted Living. The family expresses deepest gratitude for the care given to our Mother at the Barton House facility for the past two and a half years. Mrs. Mann is survived by one daughter, Jane Mann Higgins of Brentwood, TN; two sons, Bob Mann of Rogers, AR, Bill Mann of Tifton, GA; ten grandchildren. Mrs. Mann was born September 14, 1921, the daughter of Vernon and Ida Stewart Wilson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke, worked as an elementary teacher and librarian for Iola Roberts Elementary in Pell City. Mrs. Mann was a member of Delta Kapa Gama, Magnolia Garden Club, Magazine Club, Katherine Mallory WMU, and Philathea. Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Mann (Coach); her parents; two sisters, Christine Buttram and Laurene Caldwell; one brother, V. W. Wilson. Flowers will be accepted or donations to Barton House Assisted
