OBITUARY
Funeral services for Martha Hazel Spradlin Veal, age 89, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stoney Halsey officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Home Christian Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Virgil Veal, Mike Veal, Ricky Veal, Junior Spradlin, Joe Blackmon and David Spradlin.
Mrs. Veal died, Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Traylor Retirement Community.
Mrs. Veal is survived by one daughter, Nancy Carolyn Muller and husband Robert F. of Roanoke.
Mrs. Veal was born August 27, 1923, the daughter of Jack and Ella Smith Spradlin. She was a member of Forest Home Christian Church and had been a textile spinner for Callaway Mills. Mrs. Veal was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe T. Veal; her parents; twelve brothers and sisters.
