OBITUARY
Funeral services for Barbara Conklin Hastings, age 82, of Roanoke, will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, April 27, 2013, from Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Woodard officiating. Mrs. Hastings will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2013 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hastings died, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Wedowee Hospital.
Mrs. Hastings is survived by one daughter, Dianna Smith and husband Kevin of Roanoke; one son, Richard Hastings of Roanoke; one brother, Ian Conklin; four grandchildren, Robert Darda, Jr, Brian Darda, Angela Hastings and Meagan Hastings.
Mrs. Hastings was born, May 25, 1930, the daughter of Fred and Allie Sapien Conklin. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and had been a waitress. Mrs. Hastings was preceded in death by her husband, David Hastings; her parents.
